Every product is formulated, mixed, and packed in Lindenhurst, New York. Nothing is white-labeled from a contract manufacturer. Stefan and Matt Vincent are brothers who co-founded and co-run the company together, from formulation to storefront. Jen handles shipping. Small team, no middlemen. ### What is Aftershave Tonic and what does it do? Aftershave Tonic is an alcohol-based aftershave built from a 1937 barber formula. It closes pores after a shave, disinfects any small nicks, and leaves the Gunpowder Spice scent on the skin — bay rum, whisky, lime, and a top note that reads slightly gunpowdery. It's alcohol-forward on purpose. Traditional barbershop finish, not a modern moisturizer. ### What's the difference between matte clay pomade and high-shine pomade? Matte Clay Hair Pomade is water-based, has zero shine, strong hold, and dries with natural texture. Best for guys who want a lived-in, matte look. High Shine Original Pomade is the original Holy Black formula: heavy hold, real shine, classic slick-back finish. Washes out clean with regular shampoo. Choose matte for casual/modern, high shine for classic/formal. ### What's the difference between beard oil and beard balm? Beard oil (Snake Oil) is a light liquid that conditions the beard and preps the skin under it. Best for shorter beards, dry skin, or daily use. Beard balm is heavier — beeswax-based, tames flyaways, adds light hold and shape. Best for longer beards or beards that need to sit right. Many guys use oil daily and balm on days they need to style. ### How do I use hair texture powder? Shake a small amount into the palm, then work into dry hair at the roots. It disappears visually and leaves grit, volume, and a matte finish. No shine, no residue, no wet feeling. Rebuilds mid-day if hair falls flat.
